Raymund Pascual Offshore Wind Awards: Honoring Leadership and Innovation in Renewable Energy

Manila, 11 December 2024 — The Philippine offshore wind energy sector gathered to celebrate industry excellence and innovation at the inaugural Raymund Pascual Offshore Wind Awards. This event honors the legacy of the late BlueFloat Energy Country Manager and POWER Philippines Founding President Raymund Pascual while also recognizing individuals, organizations, and institutions that have made pivotal contributions to propel the growth of offshore wind energy in the Philippines.

Raymund Pascual was known for his relentless pursuit of advancing renewable energy, particularly offshore wind, for his leadership, and his ability to inspire collaboration within the industry. The event aims to foster collaboration among industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators, honor public sector contributions, and recognize private sector leadership, all with the goal of fostering growth for a sustainable country.

In a heartfelt video message played during the event, Carlos Martin, CEO of BlueFloat Energy, reflected on Raymund’s impact and emphasized the importance of working together: “Raymund was an inspiration for all, and in the words of one of our colleagues, he was a true father for all of us. He was always insisting on collaboration. Collaboration will be critical, and I would encourage everybody present here today to continue collaborating to realize the potential of offshore wind energy.”

The event consisted of awarding the movers and shakers in the private sector for their efforts to push the offshore wind industry forward this year. These recipients were chosen by a distinguished selection committee composed of diverse representatives from industry, and non-profit organizations. Likewise, the Gala offered an opportunity to recognize agencies within the public sector for their contributions to fostering the offshore wind industry.

Individuals, companies and organizations from the private sector whose innovation, dedication, and strategic contributions have played a vital role in shaping and developing the offshore wind industry in the Philippines and as such have been awarded with the Raymund Pascual Offshore Wind Awards for the Private Sector included:

The Raymund Pascual Offshore Wind Recognition to Government Agencies that have demonstrated far-reaching and impactful leadership in advancing the offshore wind energy sector in the Philippines included:

  • Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC)
  • Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
