David is Head of Engineering & Supply Chain for BlueFloat’s offshore wind farms in Australia and is overall responsible for the engineering and technical workstreams for these projects.
He has over 12 years of experience working in the offshore wind industry. Prior to joining BlueFloat, David worked at Ørsted, where he was Deputy Programme Manager for the team responsible for planning the ‘heavy lifting’ transport and installation scopes across the global project portfolio (this included the installation of the wind turbines, foundations and offshore substations). He also previously worked for Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) within the ‘Forewind’ joint venture that performed the initial development of the Dogger Bank offshore wind farms.
David has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia.
