As Senior Project Development Manager – Europe, Laura supports our European project development and operations. Laura supports the local teams and ensures project management of the on-going activities. She is also responsible for identifying new business opportunities in European markets and designing strategies for unlocking these opportunities.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Laura worked over 8 years as a renewable energy advisor at DNV and SgurrEnergy.
Laura started her career with a short experience in the concrete engineering laboratories, but she soon transitioned to the renewable energy sector after an internship at the European Parliament in Brussels. Laura acted as an independent consultant supporting owners, lenders and investors on a wide range of offshore & onshore wind and solar projects worldwide. Her main areas of expertise were technical due diligence and civil engineering. In the last years, Laura focused on fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind projects and was DNV Service Owner for the SEMELA region (South Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin-America).
Laura holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alicante and she was awarded the National University prize for the BSc. She completed a MSc in Offshore Renewable Energy at the University of Strathclyde.
