As the Procurement Director, Alper is responsible for developing the global procurement function of BlueFloat Energy and setting the strategic direction for procurement activities. Alper is leading the sourcing process for BlueFloat Energy’s global portfolio of projects to ensure timely and cost-efficient security of supply to support growth and deliverability of the pipeline.
Alper has over 20 years of experience working in the construction and energy industries and supported successful contracting and execution of onshore wind, offshore wind and thermal projects all over the globe. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Alper held executive roles within procurement working for RWE Renewables and E.ON Climate & Renewables and played a key role in developing and implementing the global category procurement for these companies.
He began his career working as a consultant in China and later moved to Gama Construction working in major construction projects, which gave him a valuable experience in contracting and project management. He joined E.ON in 2008, where he led the negotiations of EPC contracts for thermal projects, structured and increased the productivity of the purchasing function for E.ON E&P business, participated in M&A activities in Turkey followed by supporting and restructuring the procurement activities of the JVs in Turkey and Brazil, and as of 2016 started working for the renewables procurement activities.
Alper is a Geological Engineer by training and holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree, he is based in the Madrid office.
