BlueFloat Energy is proud to be at the 49th edition of The European House-Ambrosetti´s annual Forum: “The scenario of today and tomorrow for competitive strategies” together with Renantis, FINCANTIERI, and Acciaierie d’Italia. We are delighted to support The European House-Ambrosetti in the launch of the “Floating Offshore Wind Community” initiative, which aims at assessing the far-reaching impact of floating offshore wind on Italy’s economy and local supply chains and its contribution towards the country’s decarbonization ambitions and energy security.
Offshore wind is a powerful lever for the green transition, rapidly gaining momentum worldwide. Fast emerging floating technology allows countries with deeper waters to harness the offshore wind resource at sea and Italy is a great example of how floating technology can unlock the potential of offshore wind while contributing towards economic growth and industrial development across the country. The market fundamentals are there, the country has an opportunity to lead in this cutting-edge technology, provided an enabling policy framework is swiftly established. Carlos Martin Rivals, our CEO, echoes the importance of Ambrosetti´s initiative: “Floating wind is a unique industry with its challenges. BlueFloat Energy is at the forefront, actively developing floating offshore wind projects in Spain, southern France, and Italy, bringing a regional perspective to this global effort. We are committed to sharing our international experience and expertise with the Italian State and industry. Together, we can cultivate a thriving Pan-Mediterranean floating wind industry.”
Today, at 49th edition of The European House-Ambrosetti´s Annual Forum at the Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Como, we’ve reinforced our commitment to advancing offshore wind in Italy and building a new industry together with the key local stakeholders.
