Jean-Noël Dory, Mooring Senior Engineer at BlueFloat Energy, took the stage at the Moorings & Anchors Conference and Workshop organized by Global Underwater Hub today in Newcastle.
In his presentation “Station Keeping System: Developer Vision”, Jean-Noël urged to address existing bottlenecks in mooring supply. He stressed the importance of collaboration between developers and mooring suppliers and the need to plan production capabilities by 2030. “By 2030, the annual demand for mooring lines in the BlueFloat Energy portfolio would represent the distance from London to Edinburgh,” highlighted Jean-Noël.
This event was a great platform to learn more about the opportunities and challenges within underwater engineering, with a particular focus on the shifting market dynamics of the rapidly evolving floating wind sector.
