BlueFloat Energy’s presence at FOWT2024

BlueFloat Energy recently participated in the 11th edition of the FOWT Conferencein Marseille, showcasing our growing footprint in the global floating offshore wind community. Throughout the event, our team had fruitful exchanges with industry peers, offering insights into our latest project developments and engaging in discussions about the outlook for the industry.

During the Gala Dinner, sponsored by EOLYMAR, the consortium we have formed with Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited and Akuo for the AO6 offshore wind tender in France, our Country Manager France (concurrently Project Director of EOLYMAR), Clément Mochet, reiterated our commitment to the French market and to the Mediterranean region, in particular, and mentioned the concrete actions that EOLYMAR has been carrying out to secure social license for its projects. In his speech, Clément emphasized the significance of this year’s FOWT being held in Marseille, a strategic location where BlueFloat Energy has recently inaugurated its HQ in France: “Marseille has a long history of nurturing floating offshore wind industry and has been fundamental to the success of floating wind technology globally thanks to the technical expertise and rich maritime and industrial tradition. We have gone a long way as a global community since the first FOWT Conference was held in this city and seeing you all here today speaks volumes about the progress made to date. We still have many challenges ahead of us but events like this one provide a perfect forum to unite different perspectives and address them together.”

We extend our gratitude to the organizers Pôle Mer Méditerranée and France renouvelables, and co-founder CCI Formation Aix Marseille Provence, for facilitating this platform and to all participants for their contributions. We look forward to the next industry gathering as we continue to advance floating offshore wind energy globally!
