Mooring Senior Engineer

As a Mooring Senior Engineer, Jean-Noel is responsible for the station keeping system (SKS) for the UK partnership between BlueFloat Energy and Nadara (5 projects, 3.3GW). Jean-Noel also contributes to the definition of the BlueFloat Energy’s corporate strategic development plan related to the SKS package.

Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Jean-Noël has been part of the Marine Renewable Energy industry for almost 10 years and served as a Naval Architect at BW Ideol in France for 6 years contributing to the design of DampingPool®  technology and its mooring system. He has notably been involved in the design, optimization and certification of Eolmed pilot Farm project (30MW) as well as validation of good behaviour at sea of Floatgen, the world’s 1st at scale barge-type Floating Wind Turbine and 1st operating offshore wind turbine in France. Jean-Noel also conducted early stage activities of adaptation of the technology to many different geographies such as UK, Japan, Norway, Brasil or France.

Jean-Noël has academic background in  Physical Oceanography (degree earned at ENS Paris-Saclay) and Offshore energies engineering (degree obtained from ENSTA Paris).
