Business Development Manager - Spain
As Business Development Manager at BlueFloat Energy, Ainhoa supports project development activities in the Iberian Region, focusing on stakeholder management, project permitting and site development.
Ainhoa brings more than five years of consulting experience in renewable energy sector gained in an international context. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Ainhoa served as a Senior Consultant in the Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure team at Guidehouse (former Navigant Consulting and Ecofys). While at Guidehouse, Ainhoa worked on various multidisciplinary projects for a diverse portfolio of clients such as the European Commission, energy utilities and power & gas grid operators. She performed business case evaluations for offshore wind projects and other low-carbon energy technology projects and evaluated the resilience of the investment to downside scenarios. She also served as lead modeler in performing LCoE analysis of different grid connection layouts for several offshore wind areas in the North Sea. Ainhoa was also involved in the evaluation of costs and benefits of different integration routes for the North Sea Wind Power Hub Consortium. Furthermore, Ainhoa provided strategic advice to several project developers, industrial and corporate players in regards to renewable energy competitive tenders and she performed regulatory and economic analysis for the study published by the European Commission on the offshore grid potential in the Mediterranean region.
Ainhoa started her career at Green Giraffe in the Netherlands, where she worked as Financial Analyst on the structuring of offshore wind projects and assisted the Witwind consortium (Eneco, Van Oord and Diamond Generating Europe) in the preparation of their bid for Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II in the Netherlands, the first offshore wind farm to be developed without a support scheme.
Ainhoa holds a MSc degree in the Electric Power Industry (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas) and a MSc in Engineering & Policy Analysis (Delft University of Technology). She also holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas.
