In his current role as Italy Project Director, Daniele is responsible for the overall delivery of the offshore wind portfolio in Italy that BlueFloat Energy is developing together with Nadara. He is responsible for managing all the workstreams of the projects, actively monitoring risks, identifying mitigation measures and, ensuring project profitability.
Daniele has nearly 20 years of experience in marine and offshore industries. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy he was acting as Italy Country Manager as well as leading the cables engineering team at Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) based in London (UK). Within this role he was responsible for delivering various scopes in floating wind projects ranging from the development of cable consultancy services and business development strategy for multiple early development floating wind farms in Italy and worldwide, to directing the delivery of several floating offshore wind projects in Italy at pre-EIA stage.
Previously, Daniele worked for Prysmian Group, an EPCI contractor based in Milan, as Offshore Installation Manager responsible for the installation of several submarine HV power cables across Europe. Prior to that, Daniele worked several years as Mariner, being involved in large shipbuilding projects in Fincantieri Monfalcone Shipyard in Italy.
Daniele holds a Master’s Degree in Subsea Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow (Scotland)
