Floating Package Senior Manager (Stromar)
As a Floating Package Senior Manager, Jaime is responsible for all the aspects of the floating foundations for Stromar, a project being developed by BlueFloat Energy, Ørsted and Renantis off the coast of Scotland.. Jaime is leading the definition of a strategy for the delivery of the floating wind platforms by running technical analysis of the technologies in the market and preparing, launching and managing the tenders. From design to manufacturing and installation, Jaime is in charge of introducing optimisation processes to deliver efficient and optimised floating units for the offshore wind farm.
Jaime brings more than 19 years of professional experience, 14 years of those dedicated to offshore wind, with extensive background in engineering, manufacturing processes and marine operations.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Jaime served as a Floating Wind Platform Coordinator at Iberdrola Renovables in Spain where he was the Project Manager of the FLAGSHIP Offshore Wind Farm demo project in Norway, leading a 12-company consortium. In addition, Jaime worked on the delivery of the offshore substations for East Anglia One and Saint Brieuc offshore wind farms leading the tender processes until contract signature.
In addition to his professional experience, Jaime is a member of the Academic Board for the Master’s Degree on Offshore Renewable Energies (MAERM) run by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where he also coordinates the Module about manufacturing and marine operations for offshore wind projects and teaches some of the classes within this Module.
