Head of Government and Regulatory Affairs
As Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs, Myriam is responsible to lead the global efforts to monitor and analyze policy, legislative, and regulatory developments in key offshore wind markets. She collaborates closely with the Corporate Commercial team and local teams to shape favourable market conditions, define advocacy strategies for auction design, and support new market entries. Additionally, she represents BlueFloat Energy to external stakeholders, including trade associations and governmental bodies.
Myriam has been working in the energy sector for more than 15 years.
Myriam joined BlueFloat Energy in early 2022, assuming the role of Senior Business Development Manager for the Americas and APAC regions, responsible for expanding BlueFloat Energy into new markets. Her responsibilities encompassed assessing the fundamentals of offshore wind development markets, establishing local teams, seeking co-development partners, implementing project development strategies, and representing BlueFloat Energy to external stakeholders in the relevant markets.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Myriam worked in the Offshore Wind division at TotalEnergies. She was seconded in the Blue Gem Wind (Joint Venture between TotalEnergies and Simply Blue Energy) to develop the TotalEnergies’ first floating offshore wind projects, located in the Welsh waters of the Celtic Sea. She served as Contract & Procurement Manager where she was responsible for setting the contracting strategy for the EPC (detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction) phase for the Erebus project. Before this role, she held the position of the Deputy Technical Manager, where she supervised the early-stage engineering activities and the procurement of Geophysical, Geotechnical and Metocean surveys. Her responsibilities included ensuring the timely delivery of the engineering design, site characterization, the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment), ultimately leading to the successful securing of planning consents.
Previously, Myriam worked in the upstream division at TotalEnergies on the development of large scale onshore & offshore oil and gas facilities in multiple geographies (North Sea, Russia, Middle East, Africa, South-East Asia). She held various roles in Engineering, Contract & Procurement, Construction and Field Operations management, covering all stages of project lifecycles (feasibility study, Front-End-Engineering-Design, EPC) as well as Operations and Maintenance phases.
Myriam holds a MSc in Engineering from Centrale Lille (France) and an Advanced Master’s degree in Natural Gas Engineering & Management from Mines ParisTech (France). She is also certified from the Project Management Institute (PMP® certificate).
