As the Project Development Associate, Nisha is responsible for supporting the development of offshore wind projects in NZ. She supports the team in stakeholder engagement, project management and preparing for the future feasibility license application.
Nisha brings over 4 years’ experience in decarbonisation and sustainability areas. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Nisha provided consultancy services related to sustainability reporting and decarbonization solutions for various clients such as retirement villages, wineries, public sector organizations, sustainable aviation fuel and local manufacturing companies across NZ.
Before this, she was working with Auckland Transport being part of the core team delivering initiatives under Low Emission Bus Roadmap, such as decarbonizing Auckland’s public transport, deploying electric and hydrogen buses and delivering charging infrastructure at bus depots.
In the early stages of her diverse career, Nisha worked in a number of different fields , including cancer research, IT developer, project management and procurement. She finds herself utilizing numerous skills from previous work experiences in her current role at BlueFloat Energy and is keen on leveraging her experience to bring much needed large-scale renewable energy development in Aotearoa.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Biotechnology) from MD University, India.
