Charbel Nasr, Asset Lifecycle Engineer at BlueFloat Energy, participated at the Fluid Dynamics of Sustainability and the Environment Summer School, organized by École Polytechnique and the University of Cambridge.
Charbel took part in a roundtable where he presented innovative solutions in energy transition, inspiring about 42 PhD students from around the world. Moderated by Alexandre Stegner, alongside Elodie Morgan from SpotLight Earth and Romain GRANDSART from AYRO Inc., the discussion focused on how collaboration between research and industry can drive progress. It addressed the challenges the industry faces—from industrialization to condition monitoring, maintenance, and recycling of assets—and emphasized the need for innovation at every stage of a turbine’s lifecycle.
As we celebrate World Environment Day today, we are reminded of the importance of our collective efforts to protect and sustain our planet. At BlueFloat Energy, we believe that building the floatingwind industry is a crucial part of this mission. By sharing these challenges and discussing pathways for innovation with academics, BlueFloat Energy aims to help guide efforts toward market-critical inventions that can significantly reduce our environmental footprint.
Let’s continue to take action for a sustainable planet, today and every day!
