See the future of developing floating wind in Taiwan!
The “SEE THE FUTURE” Future Harbor Forum, organized by Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC), was held today at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, with the presence of high-ranking officials, including Executive Yuan’s Minister without Portfolio Tzi-Chin Chang and the Minister of Transportation and Communications Kent K. T. Wang. Our Country Manager for BlueFloat Energy Taiwan Michael Pinkerton, spoke at Panel 3 – The Port Planning and Arrangements of Taiwan Floating Wind Power Development.
With a focus on floating wind technology, BlueFloat Energy has consistently emphasized the port readiness is one of the crucial factors in development. Michael shared insights on the disparities in this aspect between Taiwan and international markets with the authority and the peers, stating that “Taiwan is well positioned to take the lead by fast tracking Floating Wind Demonstration Projects to test various types of floating technologies as early as possible, assess the infrastructure readiness, and further ensure the suitability of Taiwan’s ports for quayside activities before developing large-scale commercial floating wind farms.”
BlueFloat Energy is ready for advancing Taiwan into the next phase of floating wind energy!
