A night to remember at the RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind Awards 2024!

The event kicked off with an inspiring speech from Dan McGrail, RenewableUK Chief Executive, who highlighted the significant progress made within the last year, including the successful AR6 results which awarded CfD to circa 5GW of offshore wind projects. It was followed by a Ministerial address from Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, who reaffirmed the UK government’s commitment to reaching net-zero targets through the delivery of large-scale offshore wind capacity.

We are proud to share that Kirsty Adams, Head of Supply Chain at BlueFloat Energy | Nadara Partnership, was awarded the Future Leader Award! Her outstanding work continues to drive the local supply chain, ensuring that our Scotland’s offshore wind projects stay at the forefront of the industry’s advancement towards net-zero. Most notably for our projects, Kirsty is the Industry Chair of The Offshore Wind Industry Council’s (OWIC) Supply Chain and Clusters Workstream, which works to ensure a robust supply chain for the ongoing deployment of offshore wind, liaising closely with government to ensure industry representation in legislation development. It is fantastic to see her leadership skills recognized so widely within our industry.

Our congratulations also go to Walid Oulmane, Head of Sourcing and Ports, for being shortlisted candidate for the Aspiring Leader Award. Walid’s work in port infrastructure is critical, as ports are a key component of the offshore wind supply chain. Their readiness and capacity will be vital as the industry grows, facilitating the development and deployment of future projects.

Susie Lind, BlueFloat Energy UK Country Manager and Managing Director of the BlueFloat Energy | Nadara Partnership, proudly presented the Environment and Sustainability Award. This moment underscored our dedication to fostering sustainable offshore wind projects and reinforced our commitment to delivering projects that not only drive clean energy but also leave a lasting, positive impact on the environment and the communities we serve.

Congratulations to all the winners and shortlisted candidates for their achievements and a note of gratitude for their contribution to the industry’s success. Here’s to driving the future of offshore wind together!
