It is a pleasure to have participated in the IV Ibero-American Congress on Trends in Marketing, Communication, and Public Affairs organized by ATREVIA, a space to delve into the benefits of social dialogue and key social trends that organizations must manage.
Nailia Dindarova, Vice President of Market Development at BlueFloat Energy, participated as a speaker in the roundtable discussion “Social License and Favorability to Operate.” During her intervention, she shared the key aspects of BlueFloat Energy’s social approach:
“We advocate for a business model based on dialogue and transparency because we are convinced of the need to ensure the social license for our projects. In this regard, we work to ensure that the dialogue process includes all stakeholders in the social, political, and economic realms at the local, regional, and national levels to achieve agreements and solutions that maximize the acceptance and local benefit of our projects.”
At BlueFloat Energy, we have always placed the territory and the community at the center of our project development strategy worldwide:
- Transparency,
- Active listening,
- Open dialogue with all our stakeholders
These are the fundamental pillars of our identity. However, it is crucial that future regulatory frameworks include socio-economic criteria in offshore wind farm tenders to ensure the social integration of selected projects. If regulators focus exclusively on price as the determining factor, we risk overlooking proposals that have worked hard to ensure environmental and social sustainability.
It’s time to build bridges between aspirations for energy transition and everyday realities.
