As France moves towards decarbonization, electricity consumption is projected to surge from 2030-35. Offshore Wind power will be expected to become a major contributor to low-carbon electricity production with a 18 GW capacity by 2035. EOLYMAR, comprising three green energy leaders – BlueFloat Energy, Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited, and Akuo – is at the forefront of this transformation, dedicated to empowering local communities and propelling France’s green energy revolution forward.
EOLYMAR, in partnership with Midi Libre, hosted last Friday Lab Littoral, an inspiring event at Akuo´s Abbaye Notre-Dame de Gaussan that revolved around one central mission: “Producing energy for the territories of tomorrow.” More than 50 people attended this gathering that was packed with insightful discussions around offshore wind, supply chain challenges and local value creation.
