EOLYMAR, the consortium conformed by BlueFloat Energy, Akuo, and Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited for the development of two floating offshore wind farms off the Mediterranean coast, partners with Akuo Foundation to launch “Programme EOLYMAR”.
This first-of-its kind agreement will allocate a share of the revenues from the upcoming Mediterranean wind farms to local projects carefully selected through a series of calls for tender to be launched in 2025, consolidating EOLYMAR as a pioneer in creating sustainable value for the territory.
The announcement and official financing agreement signature took place at Akuo’s headquarters in Paris, in the presence of Eric Scotto, President and Co-founder of Akuo, Clément Mochet, EOLYMAR Project Director and BlueFloat Energy Country Manager France; Ken Kageyama, General Manager Infrastructure Business Unit at Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited; with the intervention of energy expert Andreas Rüdinger, Coordinateur Transition énergétique France à l’Institut du Développement Durable et des Relations Internationales (IDDRI) and was followed by a cocktail.
