We did it again! Highly Commended Prize in the “Offshore Wind Developer of the Year” category at Tamarindo’s Wind Investment Awards 2024!
We are honored to have received this prestigious recognition for the second consecutive year, which acknowledges our formidable achievements and our commitment to excellence in offshore wind development.
BlueFloat Energy boasts a robust 34+GW pipeline of high-quality offshore wind projects across 10 countries around the world aiming to contribute towards meeting the global net-zero ambitions whilst generating social, environmental and economic benefits for all stakeholders. Our aspiration extends to earning and maintaining a social license from each community in which we operate.
This year, BlueFloat Energy continues to advance the development of its global pipeline, including our 1 GW of capacity in Taiwan positioned for tender success after achieving EIA panel approval; the Gippsland Dawn Offshore Wind Project in Australia, where our application is progressing well for an offshore wind feasibility license off the coast of Gippsland, Victoria; the Kailia Energia and Odra Energia projects in Italy, which are advancing in the EIA process, or the Bellrock, Broadshore and Stromar projects in Scotland, where scoping packages have been submitted. Our strategy emphasizes portfolio diversification and high-quality development partnerships with leading firms like Ørsted, Plenitude, Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited, Origin Energy and Renantis.
A special shoutout to Esther Villoria Dominguez, Head of Consents & Environment at BlueFloat Energy, who had the honor of presenting the “Equity Deal of The Year” award. Esther’s leadership in our global consenting efforts has been instrumental to our success. Our approach to consenting leverages the extensive experience of our corporate team, which provides support and guidance to the local teams, and helps develop bespoke consenting strategies to ensure technical and economic feasibility of our projects. The award received last night largely recognizes our progress across the global portfolio of projects in consenting. A strong representation of our team attending the gala was complemented by distinguished guests who joined our table.
