As Project Engineer, Alfie supports the development of Gippsland Dawn project in Australia. Alfie works closely with the Australian team on a wide range of workstreams, including project management processes, detailed technical studies, and procurement of key contractors.
Alfie has over five years’ experience in the offshore wind industry, both in engineering consultancy and project development. He has extensive experience in early-stage offshore wind project development, particularly in technical, project management, and procurement workstreams.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy in Australia, Alfie worked for Simply Blue Group in Europe where he was focused on delivering a suite of floating offshore wind projects in the Celtic Sea and Baltic Sea. He served in several roles, including as grid and electrical package manager for the Erebus floating offshore windfarm development, overseeing metocean and geotechnical survey campaigns, leading the project and technical management of the Valorous floating offshore windfarm development, and supporting the technical development of other floating offshore wind projects in the UK, Sweden, and Finland.
Alfie is a Chartered Engineer with the Energy Institute (UK). He holds a MSc in Engineering in Sustainable Energy from the Technical University of Denmark and a BAI in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
