As Senior Project Manager within the BlueFloat Energy | Renantis Partnership in the UK, Derrick is responsible for the successful delivery of the Bellrock Offshore Wind Farm. By working with local teams and development partners, Derrick is responsible for defining and implementing the project’s delivery strategy including programme and budget, whilst coordinating the efforts of the entire team to deliver the project safely.
During the last 13 years, Derrick has assumed senior project management and commercial roles for major clients involved in the development of renewable energy from offshore wind. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Derrick worked for DORIS as Regional Commercial Manager – APAC, where he was based in Taipei, Taiwan. In this role, Derrick worked with several developers to build the offshore wind market in Taiwan. Prior to this, Derrick worked for Siemens Gamesa in the UK as Senior Project Manager for wind turbines.
A certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Derrick has worked on numerous offshore projects and has considerable expertise in all phases of development, construction and installation of offshore wind farms.
