Stakeholder Engagement Manager - Gippsland Dawn Offshore Wind Project

Kate is the Stakeholder and Engagement Manager for BlueFloat Energy’s proposed offshore wind project in Gippsland, Australia and is responsible for working with stakeholders to meet environmental approvals and community expectations.

Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Kate worked in the energy industry in Australia, across generation, distribution and transmission. Kate led the communications and engagement team for Marinus Link, a proposed electricity interconnector between Tasmania and Victoria, in Australia. She worked closely with community and Traditional Owners and oversaw all elements of communications and media.

Kate has also worked in Federal and State politics as a media advisor, responsible for providing advice and support to Ministers on a range of issues. Kate started her career as a journalist and has worked in print, radio and television. She has a strong connection to regional communities and a passion for a fair and inclusive transition to renewable energy.

Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications from Monash University, Australia.
