As Head of Electrical Design, Txus is responsible for the development and implementation of the overall electrical design package strategy from the early development of the offshore wind portfolio, until the operation of the projects. In this role, Txus supports the procurement process by contributing towards the contractual strategy, preparation and analysis of the Requests for Proposal, electrical designs review, etc.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, he has been involved in more than 5GW of offshore wind energy as part of the Global Technical Services of Iberdrola Renewables (Wikinger, Baltic Eagle, Windanker, East Anglia, Vineyard Wind, Park City Wind, Saint Brieuc, etc.). His main role was to lead engineering services related to the electrical power system design/analysis and the technical grid connection issues (grid codes compliance). He has been mainly focused on the definition of the implemented solutions regarding the electrical system from the WTGs to the Transmission Operator connection point.
Previously, Txus held several roles in other renewable sectors, such as onshore wind and photovoltaic generation, covering the entire Iberdrola portfolio, where he served for almost 14 years.
Txus hold a MsC degree in Industrial-Electrical Engineering from the Basque Country University.
