Study tour of floating wind success cases in the UK! BlueFloat Energy hosts Taiwan International Ports Corporation.
BlueFloat Energy, a global leader in floating offshore wind, continues to make remarkable strides globally! Last week, a high-level delegation from Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) participated in the visit of a floating offshore wind farm and hydrogen facilities in Scotland organized by BlueFloat Energy. The delegation also visited BlueFloat Energy’s offices in Edinburgh and had insightful discussions with Susie Lind, BlueFloat Energy’s UK Country Manager, and Walid Oulmane, our Head of Ports & Industrialization, with a unique expertise in the development of port infrastructure tailored to the needs of floating offshore wind projects.
We had an opportunity to discuss various aspects of floating wind technology, such as floater designs and materials, installation methods, as well as implications for port development. We were able to leverage our in-house technical expertise building also on our active engagement with the ports in Scotland, including NIGG ENERGY PARK LIMITED, Ardersier, and Port of Cromarty Firth to support their transformation into floating wind dedicated ports. TIPC is keen on learning from international floating wind development and port configurations, with a vision to optimize the planning of floating wind deployment in Taiwanese ports.
BlueFloat Energy is committed to advancing floating wind technology and aims to secure demonstration projects in Taiwan. We are willing to share the practical experience of our team members to help build this new industry in Taiwan, ensuring successful deployment of floating wind projects and harnessing the excellent wind resource in Taiwan’s deeper waters.
