Carlos Martin Rivals, CEO at BlueFloat Energy, shared insights on the development of Floating Offshore Wind Industry in the Asia Pacific region, where BlueFloat Energy is one of the pioneers and champions of this cutting-edge technology with developments underway in Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan. Carlos touched upon the challenges and opportunities that this new industry represents for the local supply chain in the panel discussion: “The considerations of Floating Offshore Wind in the Asia Pacific” where he participated together with elisabeth Palix – Suchon, Offshore Technical Lead – APAC at EDF; Tom Whittle, APAC Director at OWC & Henrik Mørup Lehmann, EPC Director at CIP Taiwan Round 3 Projects and has been chaired by Raoul Kubitschek 孔榮, NIRAS TAIWAN.
“Launching a floating offshore wind demonstration programme will allow Taiwan maintain its leading position in the energy transition in the APAC region” Carlos stated.
